I’ve tried organizing all of our craft and art supplies before. This time around I made some room on the bookshelves (Ikea!) in our office and so far I think this has been the best solution. I was able to adjust the shelf heights to accommodate different sized containers and stacks of  construction paper, craft foam, felt, etc.  Plus it’s right next to the recycling bin which is full of things that are craft projects waiting to happen!

Owen loves the new craft corner. Everything is much more visible and easy to reach. Plus, everything has a place which makes it much easier for him to help with clean up. There is a great list of basic (and not so basic) art supplies on The Crafty Crow, which is also a good stop when you are looking for projects to create with young people. Okay, I think they are fun too 🙂
