Veterans Day

My Uncle Sammy sent this out to family in honor of  Veterans Day. The song is called “American Anthem” and is sung by Jorah Jones.

Little history lesson: The holiday began as Armistice Day. It celebrated the end of World War. In 1953, a small-town shoe store owner decided to expand Armistice Day. He wanted it to celebrate all veterans. With the help of his U.S. Representative the proposition became a bill. In 1954, President Eisenhower signed it into law.
